Concurrence Cost Benefits

Demonstrable time-saving against existing processes

To replicate a basic Concurrence output would be possible using a multi-media programmer (an internal resource or, more likely an external agency); the typical cost might be in the region of £3-5k per stage/per opportunity, however it would not be feasible to replicate some of the advanced features within Concurrence (book-marking and security etc.) given the time constraints and document revisions that typically exist in the bid and proposal process.

There is no doubt however that the back-office functionality (document aliasing, version-control etc.) bring critical time-saving (and therefore cost) benefits to all opportunities, replacing manual processes with automated, reliable and scalable efficiencies.

So far as we are aware (from extensive customer “due-diligence”) there is no competitor product to Concurrence on the market.

Example:
In one recent opportunity, a recent Ministry of Defence evaluation team (leading a £multi-billion procurement), accepted Concurrence as a compliant bid submission method primarily because of the ease of evidencing claims.

This led to all of the bidders adopting Concurrence, and as a direct result a reduction in the printed requirement (by ¾ of the originally requested copies); a net saving of over £40,000 in print cost for each bidder, plus more than a day of time in print and collation each.

The following examples of cost benefits are based on real clients and real usage of the tool:

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Based upon actual statistics from our client base, the following demonstrates the TCO for Concurrence:

User’s share of costs is: £4,675 (over 3 years)
Usage is (6/month or 72/year): 216 (over 3 years)
TCO is (£4,675/216): £21.64 per output

Return on Investment (ROI)
Using the same client as an example:

Hourly rate (£44k/246 weeks/8 hours) is: £23
Hours saved (3 per use x 216 per year) is: 648
Saved cost: £14,904
Less investment: £4,675
3 year Return on Investment: £10,229

Notes:
